Welcome to
October’s Studio Notes and what a busy month it was!
Mark Rossio,
the Marvelous Toy, booked numerous hours to
Finnish his newest CD. The hours concerned polishing lead
& background vocals, as well as, mixing the tracks.
Mark’s strong point on this CD is the variety of the
material. So many themes to flesh out! A great CD from a
great guy!!
Studio friend,
familiar face & producer/arranger, Ronn Price,
was in to complete Bill Goldberger’s latest
musical "LOVE SONGS: Light & Dark". Bill is an
active, not so retired, engineer whose creativity is
testament to the performing arts keeping you young. Great
working with you Bill!
Hip-hopper and
entrepreneur, Brand-NU, came in to master his
current CD and promote a show he was putting on at the High-Five
Club here in C-bus. Turns out the gate from this
show was the best attended event this club has had for the
better part of this year! Way to pop Nate!!
Pianist Pano
came in with percussionist Stephen Dodge to
record a ‘live-performance’ CD of songs from the great
American Songbook, all classics from the 40s-50s through the
60s. "No overdubs" is the rule of the land when
Pano comes in to record. It really gives her CDs an intimacy
and vibe that other performers wish they could tap in to.
Music educator, Deborah
Berhendt, started work on her current project by
tracking her keyboard parts to which she’ll be adding
other accompaniment in the coming month.
Stay tuned for more
details!!
And finally our
owner/operator, Dan Green, started work his
new CD by recording basic tracks with Columbus studio
legends, drummer Sam Hoff, bassist Jeff
Ciampa, and brother Larry Cook on lead
guitar. Larry & Dan played together in the phenomenal
band `Appalachia`. Studio favorite and friend Ron
Price also participated in these smokin’ rhythm
sessions. More tracks to be recorded later.
And
that's the all the gnus that fits! Next month the secret of
life and other treats from the Gman.
